Omnisys is dedicated to Bill Lebednik (8/11/44 - 4/1/09)

Father, friend, mentor, and the guy who started my life-long obsession with computers. If there's a heaven, they're sure as hell not running Windows up there, but whatever they've got, Bill's patiently trying to teach others how to use/fix it. That is, in between firing off rounds from his favorite firearm, which I imagine is gold-plated and fires lasers.
Omnisys made possible by...
- The letters Q, A, and beer. Hooray Beer.
- The ZK Framework - None of this would have been possible, or look near as good without the ZK framework. This is a shining example of what an open-source project should be. Although things always worked, the support is outstanding, and there are plenty of folks willing to help out.
- Tomcat Servlet Engine - Ahh, where would I be without the Tomcat Servlet Engine..
- Hibernate - Hibernate object-relational layer has simplified this project greatly - good stuff.
- MySQL - Straight forward, has great integrity, and as always, is open source. Just the way I like my women.
- Quartz Scheduler - Quartz controls all of the Omnisys scheduled tasks, as well as the device/service polling features at the heart of the platform.
- jsch - The library that Omnisys uses to establish SSH connections - very handy.
- Log4j - It does logging - 4 Java!!
- Spring! - Also, great framework, used for securing Omnisys, but has so many other uses. Another gold star for Spring.
- J-Interop - Library used for WMI calls to Windows machines, and the only clear open source choice when doing WMI calls.
- NetBeans - This made my life easier, great IDE, and simple as can be for a rookie Java programmer.
Honorable Mentions (people that are partly responsible for this mess)
